Description
The drug Tretizen-10 is made by Zen Labs. Isotretinoin (aka Accutane), a retinoid and vitamin A derivative, is the primary active ingredient in the drug. When other therapies, like antibiotics, are ineffective, it is used to treat severe acne.
Rosacea, perioral dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, folliculitis, granuloma annulus, sarcoidosis, various keratinization disorders and photo-aging are indications for the use of the drug in addition to acne.
Effects of Accutane
Anti-seborrheic, anti-inflammatory, sebostatic, immunomodulatory and kerato-modulatory are only a few of the drug’s various effects. The drug can speed up the skin’s natural regeneration processes.
Accutane 10mg use
The ability to alter the sebum’s composition, reduces its production and ensure that it is quickly excreted from the sebaceous glands is the basis of the mechanism of action. When taken, the sebaceous glands’ ability to produce sebum is suppressed and their number, size and number of ducts all decrease. Isotretinoin has a half-life of 19 hours.
The Zen Labs drug is taken orally along with meals. Although the ideal dosage of Isotretinoin for severe acne is determined individually, it typically ranges between 0.4 and 0.5 mg/kg/day. A dosage of 10-20 mg per day is sufficient for mild to moderate forms of acne. The suggested usage period depends on the dose and differs for each person.
Side effects of Accutane
The most typical side effects of Isotretinoin use include extremely dry skin, chapped lips, itchy hands and feet and severe skin dryness. The skin and mucous membranes may become irritated. Situations when dry skin is exposed to sunlight make it worse.
You should give up sunbathing and wear sunscreen while undergoing therapy. Impaired liver function is another unfavourable side effect.
