Description
Zovirax (acyclovir) Cream, 5% is an antiviral drug for topical and external use. Acyclovir is active against Herpes simplex types 1 and 2, Varicella zoster virus, Epstein-Barr virus and cytomegaloviruses. Used in bodybuilding to treat pain at the site of steroid injections.

Zovirax actively combats skin and mucous membrane infections caused by Herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2, including herpes lip virus, helps accelerate healing of ulcers and reduce symptoms such as tingling, pain, burning, itching and skin irritation.
How to take Zovirax cream
Zovirax is an antiviral medicine for topical and external use. It should be used at the first sign of infection. Before applying, wash your hands, clean your skin, and disinfect the infected area.
Zovirax should be applied 5 times a day at approximately 4-hour intervals, except at night. It is important to start treatment as soon as possible at the beginning of the infection, preferably during the prodromal period. Treatment should last at least 4 days. If healing does not occur, treatment can be continued for up to 10 days.
Side effects of Acyclovir
Side effects are manifested by hypersensitivity to Zovirax and other ingredients of the product. The following are also noted: transient burning, tingling at the application sites, slight dryness or flaking, itching; redness; contact dermatitis after application, more often related to auxiliary agents than to Zovirax.
